Christopher Allen Tiffany, 27, of Fergus Falls was arrested Monday for third degree murder in the case of Tom Rasmusson. Tiffany was arrested at the Otter Tail County Detention Facility where he was being held for unrelated charges.

Rasmusson was found dead in his car parked in a driveway on Veitenheimer Road Aug. 10 after overdosing on illegal drugs including methamphetamines and heroin.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force and the Fergus Falls Police Department coordinated an investigation into the source of these drugs and found information that Tiffany assisted Rasmusson in obtaining the drugs.

The case is still under investigation, sheriff’s office representatives reported.
