Otter girls tennis holds awards banquet

The Fergus Falls Otter girls tennis team held their annual awards banquet Sunday.

The Otters received a Silver Academic Team award for having an acumulitive grade point average over 3.7 or higher.

Hannah Nelson also received an individual academic award for her GPA, while her and teammate Samantha Velde were awarded Central Lakes Conference Scholarships for their academics.

Velde also received All-Conference honors as was voted team MVP.

Others receiving awards included Emma Clark (Team Spirit), Kendra King (Most Improved), Kaci Walvatne (Hardest Worker) and Taylor Leapaldt (Coach’s Award).
