UNDERWOOD – The Underwood volleyball team took home a four set win (21-25 25-16 25-19 25-11) over the Battle Lake Battlers to claim the Little Eight Conference title Tuesday.

“I’m proud of all of them and I was happy to see them work through a little adversity during the match and come on strong at the end,” Rockets coach Diane Ross said. “They are a great bunch to work with.”

Carly Masloski continued to be an offensive presence for Underwood as she tallied 23 kills, while teammate Kaitlyn Holen chipped in 13 of her own in the win. Brianna Fitzgibbons also had a good night for the Rockets as she recorded 37 assists and 12 digs.

The Rockets will close out their regular season Thursday as they host their invitational tournament beginning at 9 a.m., while the Battlers will travel to Frazee for their season finale Monday at 7:30 p.m.
