LONG PRAIRIE – The Otter Tail Central Bulldogs finished their regular season on a high note Wednesday as they defeated Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 26-12.

The Bulldogs got the scoring underway in the first quarter as Tom Lachowitzer broke through the line for an 8 yard touchdown run. The Bulldogs would never trail after a Tony Ukkelberg extra point put them up 7-0.

OTC would add another touchdown in the second quarter as Jake Trosdahl rambled into the endzone from 13 yards out. The Thunder would notch a score in the half as they slipped through the Bulldog defense for a 20 yard touchdown pass to make the score 14-6 at the break.

Nick Trosdahl would get the Bulldogs on the scoreboard again in the second half as a 21 yard scamper put OTC back up two touchdowns. Long Prairie looked to stay in stride as they scored another touchdown on a 13 yard run.

In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs put the game away as quarterback Andrew Smith found Dan Marso for a 3 yard scoring pass.

Smith led the OTC ground attack with 16 carries for 123 yards, while teammate Lachowitzer finished the evening with 118 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown.

Defensively, Tyler Ukkelberg was impossible to handle as he broke through the offensive line to record three sacks in the victory.

The Bulldogs end the regular season with a 6-2 record and will await their opponent in the Section 6A playoffs beginning Tuesday in Battle Lake쇓
