FF man charged with murder in drug death [UPDATED]
Published 9:49am Thursday, October 18, 2012 Updated 3:18pm Friday, October 19, 2012Christopher Allen Tiffany, 27, of Fergus Falls was charged Tuesday with third degree murder by distribution of a controlled substance without intent to cause death.
According to Tiffany, on Aug. 9, he and Rasmusson drove to Minneapolis to acquire 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, also known as an eight ball. For $300, they allegedly purchased an eight ball from a distributor at a Domino’s Pizza in the Twin Cities. On the way back to Fergus Falls, Tiffany and Rasmusson allegedly snorted some of the methamphetamine on the surface of a cell phone.
Tiffany reported Rasmusson was a reckless drug user and had a tendency to use too much.
A normal dose of methamphetamine is approximately a tenth of a gram, but it was reported that Rasmusson likely used at least a gram and a half the night before his death.
On Aug. 10, Rasmusson was found dead, locked in car parked in a driveway on Veitenheimer road. He had a syringe and other drug paraphernalia on his lap.
The final autopsy found that Rasmusson died as a result of methamphetamine and amphetamine overdose.
Tiffany is being held on $200,000 cash or bond with conditions.

Regaurdless The situation &/or statment given by mr.tiffany putting a specific name to a drug dealer in a public newspaper is basically signing his own death certificate-
& i wonder what the FFPD &/or the journal will be charged with when mr.tiffany ends up dead on or off the streets all because they decided to state the name of his dealer.
And for him claiming tom as a reckless user is terribly sad because every user is a reckless user. tom injected himself. I doubt tiffany forced him. what about the 18 year old girl who just died from drugs? will the people she was with all be charged the same? they were all aware of her o.ding and did nothing to get her medical attention. that situation seems to have a more fitting reason to charge anyone for murder. both cases are heart wrenchingly sad but theres a kink in the justice system. if tiffany goes down for murder 3 there should be a whole other group of people going for murder 3 or 2 even. whats being done to save this already troubled town from something as awful as heroin and meth?
