EAST GRAND FORKS — The Perham Yellowjackets would end their regular season on a high note defeating the East Grand Forks Green Wave by a score 24-6.

Perham struck first early in the first quarter when senior quarterback Jordan Hein found the end zone on a two yard score, the kick was blocked and the Yellowjackets enjoyed a quick 6-0 lead. Hein would hit payday one more time before the quarter was over on a 54 yard sprint to the end zone and the conversion failed once again but Perham was up 12-0 at the end of the first.

The second quarter was a defensive showdown as neither team could put together a scoring drive until just under two minutes left when Ryan Boushee scored on a three yard run for the Green Wave. Perham got the ball back but could not convert so the halftime score was 12-6 in favor of the Yellowjackets.

The Yellowjackets would score twice more throughout the game, you guessed it Hein scored both Perham touchdowns in the second half on runs of two and seven yards to complete the 24-6 victory.

Hein lead the attack for the Yellowjackets with 203 yards on 23 carries along with four touchdowns.

The Yellowjackets are guaranteed a home game in their first round of the playoffs on Tuesday night, while the East Grand Forks Green Wave will travel to Fergus Falls on tuesday to take on the Otters in playoff action.
