BATTLE LAKE — The city council discussed snow removal policies at length, according to the minutes published in the Battle Lake Review this week.

Council members debated whether business owners or the city should take care of snow removal, or if the city should hire a private contractor.

The seasonal nature of some businesses in the community makes enforcement of snow removal difficult if business owners are responsible, said Public Works Director Steve Seufert.

No decision was made and the issue will be discussed again at the next meeting.
