Three cited for hunting at Prairie Wetlands [UPDATED]

Three men were cited, but not after bagging three ducks, while hunting at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center Sunday.

The men set up decoys and launched a boat on a slough in the well-posted protected area. Police said the men weren’t trying to be “sneaky about it,” and they didn’t realize what they were doing was illegal.

Fergus Falls Police, the Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife responded.
