Police arrest 8 in PR shooting

Eight arrests have been made in the case of a confrontation in Pelican Rapids that resulted in gun shots Oct. 4.

Kimberly Dawn Ryan, 36, Zack Otis Stewart, 18, Branagen Jordan Theisen, 22, Brandtly Patrick Hutson, 19, Kevin Bradley Forer, 18, and three male juveniles were arrested recently.

The Pelican Rapids Police Department responded to a complaint of a confrontation that resulted in shots fired Oct. 4. No injuries resulted from the conflict.

An investigation was conducted, and police have uncovered what appears to be a plot to rob, murder and burn the residence of a Pelican Rapids family. The eight arrested have varying levels of involvement in the planning and execution of the alleged crime, according to a news release by Fergus Falls Police.

The investigation is continuing, and no further details are being released at this time.
