Vote to support FF schools [UPDATED]
Published 9:22am Wednesday, October 24, 2012 Updated 11:23am Wednesday, October 24, 2012Most people have already decidedwhom they are going to vote for this November. Remaining to consider is what we will be voting for. One thing that is not political and is something we all can agree upon is support for our school bond this year.
For a cheaper price, finally, we will be getting something that will bring dividends back to us.The current bond is running out this year. Thanks to good management by our current Superintendent, Jerry Ness, we can get a new bond at a lower rate and finish the job of rebuilding and upgrading our school complex. For my pocket book it is like getting a renewal at a lower rate. That’s good.
The return for us in getting the green space and athletic area done up right is in our ability to host tournaments and other activities that draw business to town. When our businesses do well our people do well. When our people do well our taxes stay down.
So, this time I consider my vote as an investment that will return positive dividends to me, it cost me less to buy in and my taxes will be held down in the future because our school and our town, thanks to Jerry Ness and his diligent management, is attractive and will continue to prosper.
Please join me in voting yes on the School Bond issue.
