Community members are invited to attend any of three upcoming performances of Mixed Blood Theatre on the campuses of Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls and Wadena.pm

The theater group, a professional and multi-racial company based in Minneapolis, will perform Theory of Mind, a sensitive yet unsentimental story that presents a portrait of a young man with Asperger’s syndrome.

The main character, Bill, is a college-bound 17-year-old who is academically brilliant but has an inability to read social cues and is prone to taking everything he hears literally. His outing with a young woman becomes a memorable, insightful look at the tugs, shifts and about-faces found on the autism spectrum.

Performances are scheduled on the following dates:

• Detroit Lakes: Noon Tuesday, Oct. 30 in the college’s Conference Center.

• Wadena: Noon Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the college cafeteria.

• Fergus Falls: 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Legacy Hall.

Performances are free and sponsored by the Detroit Lakes and Wadena Student Senates and the CACTUS organization on the Fergus Falls campus.
