Man jailed for selling narcotics [UPDATED]
Published 9:16am Thursday, October 25, 2012 Updated 11:16am Thursday, October 25, 2012An Elizabeth man received prison time from Otter Tail County court Thursday for sale of narcotics.
Harry Edward Helps, 41, of Elizabeth was convicted of third degree sale of narcotics.
West Central Drug Task Force special agents purchased methamphetamine from Helps through an informant earlier this year.
He was sentenced to 44 months, resulting in a minimum of about two and a half years.
In 2011, Helps was convicted of fifth-degree sale of marijuana.
Court update
The following is a list of people recently convicted or charged with felonies or gross misdemeanors in Otter Tail County court, according to court administration. Others may have been charged or convicted and already reported on.
• Walter Lucas Westphall, 21, of Fergus Falls was convicted Oct. 12 for third degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony
• David Allan Hamutoff, 18, of Fergus Falls was charged Oct. 17 with fifth degree possession of a schedule three controlled substance, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Mark Boehner, 44, of Richville was charged Oct. 15 with DWI, a felony, and driving after cancellation, a gross misdemeanor.
