EVANSVILLE — The Brandon-Evansville Chargers continued their season Thursday night as they defeated the Hillcrest Comets in a three set victory (25-13, 25-18, 25-16).

“I was happy with how each girl contributed to the victory,” Charger coach Kelly Olson said. “All week we discussed how this season’s playoff run will have to be a total team effort. Tonight we saw each girl step onto the court and make a contribution in our last home match of the year.”

Kinsley Randt and Mariah Nelson each had five service aces in the victory.

The Chargers will now advance to take on the No. 10 state rank (Class A) Henning Honets Friday at 7 p.m.

The Comets finish their season with a 0-20-2 record.
