Jay was born on July 13, 1986, in Stockbridge, Ga. Jay grew up in Georgia.
When he was 2 years old and due to health reasons, Jay had a liver transplant.
In 2001 Jay along with his family moved to Henning. He enjoyed working on and repairing automobiles — he enjoyed turning a wrench especially with old pickups.
In 2006, Jay made his home in Alexandria. He loved his best friend, Bruiser, a miniature pincher and “picking” old vehicles throughout Alexandria for himself and friends.
For the past six months, he had been battling a blood infection.
Preceding Jay in death were his grandfathers, George Ohsberg and James H. Campbell.
Jay is survived by his loving mother, Karen Campbell of Alexandria; father, James A. Campbell, Sr. of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Kristina Campbell of Alexandria; grandmother, Marjorie Ohsberg of Alexandria; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the University of Minnesota Transplant Division.
