Skauge gets 1,000th dig, Rockets win

UNDERWOOD — Underwood’s Tara Skauge recorded her 1,000th dig as the Rockets were able to sweep the West Central Knights 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-20) in the Section 6A playoffs Friday.

“Tara has worked extremely hard to come back from her knee surgery so she could play,” Rocket coach Diane Ross said. “She has done an excellent job in the back row as our libero.”

Skauge finished the evening with a 12 digs and was a perfect 11 for 11 form the service line with an ace. Teammate Carly Masloski led the attack for the Rockets with 11 kills in the win.

The Rockets advance in the playoffs and will take on Parkers Prairie Tuesday in a 6 p.m. semi-final showdown at the University of Minnesota-Morris.
