FF boys soccer holds banquet

The Fergus Falls boys soccer team held their annual post season banquet Oct. 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Junior Sam Rausch was received several awards including being named to the Central Lakes All-Conference team, the team’s MVP and was also named a captain for next season. Teammate David Schneck was also named a captain and received the most inspirational award.

Senior Austin Sandmeyer received the Damien Jacklitch award. This award is presented to the soccer player that embodies the love of the game. Sandmeyer was also received a CLC academic award and All-Conference honorable mention.

Seniors Caleb Deterding and Sam Steen each received a conference acadmic award and an honorable mention in the CLC.

Others receiving awards include Taylor Lemke (Most Improved Player) and Brady Anderson (Hardest Worker).

The Otters finished their season with a 1-14-2 record, losing to East Grand Forks in the opening round of the Section 8A playoffs.
