Juvenile in custody after escape

A juvenile male was taken back into custody after escaping transport at the Otter Tail County Courthouse Monday.

The 16-year-old managed to escape from handcuffs and a belly chain when he arrived in Fergus Falls after being transported from Buhl, Minn. at around 11 a.m.

The juvenile was found about five hours later and taken into custody without incident at a residence on the 500 block of West Stanton Avenue.

The 16-year-old has charges pending for fourth-degree assault and third-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony.
