Fergus Falls voters have the opportunity to bring back a strong leader in Mayor Hal Leland. His experience and accomplishments make the choice and easy one.

Mayor Leland has joined me every legislative session to combat efforts by some of my metro area colleagues to reduce Local Government Aid. His lobbying efforts in support of LGA have been instrumental in keeping property taxes as low as possible for all of us in greater Minnesota.

He has also worked to keep your property taxes from increasing by ensuring that the city’s financial share of your new Community Ice Arena will be paid through a sales tax. His testimony before the Joint Legislative Tax Committee was pivotal in successfully securing the Local Option Sales Tax for Fergus Falls.

Mayor Leland’s considerable experience working with the Legislature serves Fergus Falls well. He is committed and works tirelessly to preserve our values and way of life herein greater Minnesota. He is one of the most effective leaders in the state, and I am pleased to endorse him for another term as your Mayor.
