Thought we fired Skogen [UPDATED]

Geez. I thought that we fired Dan Skogen from his wacky tax and spend hobby in the state senate.

But, n-o-o-o. I opened my mailbox at home today, and there was a flier with his big smeary lipstick “kissing” our senator Bill Ingegbritsen good-bye. Which goes to show the old saying that you can put lipstick on a big spending liberal and send him off to Saint Paul, but he will still be a big spending liberal.

We don’t need Dan Skogen slobbering all over senator Ingegbritsen while he continues his good work of wiping out the six billion dollar debt Dan Skogen dumped on the legislature’s stoop, like a barnyard animal leaving its droppings behind.

Let’s re-elect our senator Bill Ingegbritsen and get him back to cleaning up the wreckage Dan Skogen left behind when we canned him in the last election.

First off, if Bill Ingebrigtsen is your state senator, you don’t live in Fergus Falls as you claim. I’m from Douglas County, and that’s where he was elected from.

Second, borrow and spend economics may be what conservatives do (both state wide and nationally), but it is not fiscally responsible. In fact, Republicans are guilty of the vast majority of the national debt. Dan Skogen voted to cut ALL departments budgets by 7%.

If the deficit was “wiped out”, why is there a looming $4.5 billion deficit projected for this January? Doesn’t seem like anything was wiped out except for honesty (and lower property taxes).

You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are NOT entitled to your own facts.

  2. Benjamin Righteous

You know who I’d like to see make a comeback? Brian Gullickson. Anyone know what he’s up to these days?

  3. Camilla Ryan

I heard a rumor that he was taking lessons in your raddie specialty – waging a lifelong battle against mental health.

And, we can still choose who OUR senator is, and we choose Bill Ingebrigsten if we want.
