7 burglaries reported in Douglas County

Seven burglaries were reported in Douglas County Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The burglaries were reported in several areas throughout the county and appear to have occurred during the day.

At each home, doors were pried and forced open and although it appeared rooms, drawers and closets were gone through, only several items were reported missing.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office also received a report of a man with a gun walking around a seasonal residence off County Road 11. The man was not located, and it is unknown if he is connected to the burglaries.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office requests the public be on the look out for any suspicious or unusual activity and report any related information to the sheriff’s office.
