UNDERWOOD — On a cold and windy MEA break, the Underwood Rockets hosted the Hancock Owls on wednesday night and made the most of the night defeating the Owls by a score of 59-8.

Senior running back Chase Collins needed 167 yards to reach the 1000 yard mark on the season, and he got it in the first quarter. Collins exploded on a great first quarter scoring three unanswered Rocket touchdowns on runs of 4,67, and 26 yards. He also ran in all three two point conversions to give his team a commanding 24-0 lead to end the quarter.

The Underwood defense played another great game shutting the door on most of Hancock’s drives for the night, Collins finished the game with 184 yards on 12 carries and four touchdowns, while his partner in crime Noah Rocholl had three rushes for 84 yards and a touchdown of his own.

The Rockets will await a seeding in Section four, but with a 7-1 record a home game is guaranteed for next Tuesday night.
