Two faces familiar to local theater fans will take to the stage with their musical talents during the upcoming performances of All Shook Up at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls.

Lexi Wedll of Fergus Falls and Rusty Duncan of Battle Lake play the lead roles in the 2004 jukebox musical, improbably featuring the songs of Elvis Presley and based on the play Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. Duncan described it as a mixture of Grease, Footloose and Shakespeare, “with a little Elvis thrown in there.”

Wedll plays the role of Natalie, a mechanic’s tomboy daughter who falls for Chad, a guitar-playing roustabout recently released from prison, played by Duncan. The cast of All Shook Up also includes Hazen Roller-Olsen of Fergus Falls, Calli Thiel of Wendell, Destiny Loven of Fergus Falls, Sean Schneider of Sauk Centre, Amanda Collins of Dent, Kelley Haberer of Elbow Lake, Daniel Koch of Henning, Ben Walkup of Fergus Falls, Spencer Imsande of Ottertail, Jacob Bauer of Graceville, Tejahn Cloud of Fergus Falls, Fitzgerald Scotland of Detroit, Mich., Josh Wilson of Monticello, Erin Bottko of Battle Lake, AnnaLisa Brown of Fergus Falls, Hailey Janssen of Fergus Falls, Tara Flaten of Hancock, Kristen Johnson of Elbow Lake, Jamasha Walker of Caton, Ga., and Andrew Strand of Maple Grove.

All Shook Up is directed by M State theater instructor Stefanie Gerhardson, choral instructor Teresa Ashworth and instrumental music instructor Dan Carlson.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 and 3; 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4; and 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 8-10, in Waage Theatre.
