FF CWC meeting scheduled Nov. 8 [UPDATED]

Cost is $6.50. This month’s theme is Attitude: A little thing that makes a Big Difference
MUSIC will be provided by Melissa Fronning and Carol Rodseth from Baxter will talk about the importance of our attitudes in determining our life choices.

Election prayer

A prayer day for the Nov. 6 elections is planned beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, at Simple Faith Church in Fergus Falls.
Christian Women’s Connection brunch is Nov. 12
Join members of the Christian Women’s Connection for its “Bakers Delight” brunch at the next meeting, planned from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Monday, Nov. 12, at Thumper Pond Resort in Ottertail . Women of all denominations are invited. The cost is $11, with no membership or dues.
“A Piece of Cake” will be presented by Ana Wolf of Vining, as she shares her talents in this yummy art form. “Sing and Celebrate” as we enjoy songs by the Heart of Praise trio, Lois Christopherson, Dee Drown and Shirley Lenning. The group will be “Rappin’ It Up” with Mona Bean of Backus. After years of angry living, she has found joy in life as she’s “Walking a New Road.”
A complimentary nursery at Thumper Pond for pre-schoolers is available by reservation only. Reservations are requested for brunch and nursery on or before Thursday, Nov. 8. Festival of Music set at Trinity
The annual “Festival of Music” will be held on Friendship, beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov,18, at Trinity Lutheran, 1150 W. Cavour in Fergus Falls.
This is one of the Sundays the church especially invites members of the family and friends who do not usually attend, to come and be a part of that day.
All of the music groups of Trinity: Sunday school, Adult Choir, Bell Choir, Praise Band, Children’s Chimes, Youth Group and soloists participate in a worship service of praise and thanksgiving to God.
Missionary Jacob Gillard will be the guest speaker.
At 10:30 a.m., following the service, a reception for new members is scheduled.
After the reception, Gillard and his family will talk about the work and lives of their family working with the people in Uganda, Africa.
Worship – 9:00 a.m., reception following, 10:30 a.m. Sunday School and Rev. Gillard’s presentation.
Please plan to attend with a friend or two.
From 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday is open gym for community children, ages 0-5 and their caregivers.
