Calling all men [UPDATED]

Here’s a wonderful opportunity for all men to sing in an Area Men’s Christmas Chorus. It’s a short-term commitment —just attend five out of six scheduled rehearsals, ending with a Christmas Concert on Dec. 16.

First rehearsal is Nov. 5. All rehearsals will be in Pelican Rapids on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (on Highway 59, across from the school).

Music will be provided and will include both secular holiday music and sacred Christmas music. All musical arrangements are in four-part harmony — a cappella style.

The director for this short-term chorus will be Chuck Speer, Heart O’ Lakes Harmony chorus director, so there will already be a core of singers to sing with. If you enjoy singing, this will be a very fun and personally rewarding experience.

Come join with other area men who love to sing. Last year, 47 area men sang in this chorus.

If you have any questions about this opportunity, feel free to call Rich Treptow at 218-862-5300, or just show up on Nov. 5. Let’s celebrate the holidays in song.
