Crucial to vote Tuesday [UPDATED]

While there is certainly disagreement on candidates and issues, there should be one in which all of us agree.

If you haven’t done so already, it is critical to get out and vote on Tuesday.

The fact is, this country is at a crossroads on many issues at all levels of government.

Considering the number of close elections in recent years, and several projected to be close this year, your vote could certainly make a difference.

Besides, voting is your right as a U.S. citizen. If you don’t vote, you essentially give up that right.

Over history, many American soldiers have died to secure the right to vote, and citizens of other countries would do the same.

Of course, Otter Tail County residents always have been fully aware of this fact.

In election after election, voter turnout here is among the highest in the state and the nation.

Let’s not change course this year. Get out and vote.
