Although David Prazak was appointed by school board members to fill Steve Stenerson’s seat last May, he was not able to hold onto his position in the election. Angela Fiedler prevailed by a narrow margin, and will be Fergus Falls’ newest school board member.

“I was pretty excited about the outcome,” said Fiedler. “It was a close race. David made a good effort.”

Fiedler is looking forward to being on the board as opposed to participating from the sidelines.

“Technology in schools is important to me,” said Fiedler. “We should make sure our kids have what they need to succeed.”

Fiedler also has a soft spot for nutrition and health aspects of school.

In other school board election results, incumbents Matthew Lemke (6,874 votes), Tarma Carlson (6,176) and Jeff Hohrman (5,519) each were re-elected.
