Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls is near completion on two construction projects.

A new rectory, which will house the parish priest, is anticipated to be completed within the month. The tabernacle, the area reserved to hold the vessel containing the Eucharist, is being moved from the back of the nave to a new area to the side of the altar.

It is a two-sided tabernacle with entrances both from the church and from the outside. Church members will have 24-hour access from the outside via a key code entry.

An interior window will allow worshipers to view the altar.

Work on the tabernacle room is nearing completion, but the church is awaiting the arrival of the tabernacle vessel, which is being custom made.

“We are also grateful for some anonymous and generous donors who will cover the cost of the rectory building,” said Fr. Greg Paffel.
