Christmas Bake Shoppe planned in Perham [UPDATED]
Published 10:22am Thursday, November 8, 2012 Updated 12:25pm Thursday, November 8, 2012This year it’s “Christmas cookies and so much more” at Calvary Lutheran Church. Calvary women will sponsor the 17th annual Christmas Bake Shoppe Sat. Dec. 1, 9-11 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, 619 3rd Ave. SW. Perham.
The Cookie Shoppe features boxes of three dozen fancy cookies for $12 as well as a Snack Shoppe (coffee, tea, hot chocolate and treats). Proceeds from the Snack Shoppe will go to Womanade, an organization which supports children in New York Mills, Perham/Dent and Wadena/Deer Creek school districts.
The Bread Shoppe will also feature “Calvary’s Smakte Godt Lefse” Calvary’s Tastes Good Lefse brand, made by Calvary Lutheran members as well as Christmas breads.
Other shoppes include: The Pantry with jams, jellies, pickles, the Candy Store with fudge, caramels and peanut brittle, the Card Shoppe with napkins and cards, the Craft Shoppe with homemade stocking stuffers, the Quilt Shoppe with Calvary “Cut Ups” quilt creations of all sizes, the Youth Shoppe with fresh pine wreaths and a Kids Activity/Craft Center for ages 3-8 while parents shop.
The Global Mission Shoppe has fair trade items from global artists including: jewelry, scarves, nativity sets, kitchen items and decorative home items.
“The community is invited to join in fellowship and preparation for the holiday season. Proceeds go to local, regional and global missons,” said co-chairwoman, Mary Ringsven.
