Pauline Moen, 84, of Perham

Pauline Oline Moen was born on Nov. 7, 1927, in Edinburg, N.D., the daughter of Olaf and Mamie (Veum) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Edinburg. Pauline graduated from the Edinburg High School in 1945, and continued her education at St. Michael’s Hospital School of Nursing in Grand Forks, N.D.
Pauline and Gilfred Moen were married on March 21, 1946, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Grafton, N.D.
After their marriage, they lived in Forest River, N.D., and Park River, N.D., where she was a homemaker and raised her family and then moved to Inver Grove Heights.
In retirement, Gilfred and Pauline lived on Otter Tail Lake and wintered in Mesa, Ariz.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, playing cards, family and especially her grandchildren. She had sewn cloth napkins and made many mints for her grandchildren’s weddings.
Pauline was a member of the Eastern Star, was active with ladies aid in church and belonged to the homemakers club.
She had served as vice president of the Midway School P.T.A. Most recently she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Amor.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Gilfred of Perham; a daughter, Marlys (Michael) Baumann of Otter Tail Lake; a son, Galyn (Wendy) Moen of Destin, Fla.; four grandchildren, Michelle (Dr. Aaron) Wright of West Fargo, Mark (Dr. Amy) Baumann of Edmond, Okla., Todd (Roma) Moen of Mesa, Ariz., Tracey (David) Kunze of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Mamie Olson; a sister, Lorraine Chally and brother, Paul Olson.
Visitation: Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at the church, and one hour prior to the service
Service: 11 a.m. Friday, at Zion Lutheran Church of Amor
Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Amor
