NYM elects first female mayor Gerber

New York Mills residents elected their first-ever female mayor in Julie Gerber on Tuesday.

Gerber, who had previously served a four-year term on the city council, won the race against Kenny Friese, 315 votes to 254. The mayoral term in NYM is for two years.
