It’s a great weekend for theatrical entertainment with M State-Fergus Falls and the Prairie Wind Players in Barrett both having performances. There are also several Veterans Day activities around the area.

 

Friday

•“All Shook Up” opens 7:30 p.m. at M-State Fergus Falls, runs through Nov. 11

•“The Importance of Being Earnest”, continues Fri. at 7:30 p.m., runs through Nov. 11 at Roosevelt Hall in Barrett

• Final weekend for Sandra Gehrig New Works Exhibit at the Kaddatz, FF, runs through Nov 10

 

Saturday

• Quilts of Valor Sewing Day, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., WRM, FF

• Second Saturday Program at the FF Library, “Marvelous Music!”

10 a.m. – 11 a.m., FF Public Library

• Gymnastic Performances, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., WRM, FF

• Holiday Art & Craft Show, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. WRM, FF

• “Honoring our Heroes” veterans celebration, Saturday, 9:30 a.m., Walmart, FF

 

Sunday

• The Key Club from Hillcrest Lutheran Academy will assist with setting up the Walk of Flags celebrating Veterans Day, 7:15 a.m., NP Park, downtown FF

• As a thank-you to veterans, Applebees offers a “Free meal for Vets” (from special menu with some restrictions), Sunday only starting at 10 a.m.

• Bethel Church is offering “Tribute to Veterans,” with special guest speaker Chaplain/Vietnam veteran Mike Voorhees, 6 p.m., free dinner to follow service.

• VFW Post #612 FF , Vets Day Celebration, 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Vet’s stew 11:30 a.m., cake and coffee ‘til gone.

Monday

• American Legion Post 30 FF, Vets Day Celebration, Homemade stew and desserts, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

• American Legion Post 489, Underwood, Vets Day Celebration, Rib dinner free for vets. 5 p.m. until gone.
