The date and location has been set for a charity auction benefitting those affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Century 21 Vista Realtors are teaming up with the community to collect cash and new, collectable or saleable items for the auction to be held Sat., Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army Headquarters located at 622 E Vernon, Fergus Falls.

Auctioneer Rudy Butenas and his wife Adele Butenas of Century 21 Vista and Eight Pines Auction Company in Pelican Rapids are donating their time as professional auctioneers and clerks.

“We are especially proud to partner with the Salvation Army to benefit Hurricane Sandy storm victims,” said Judi Olson of Century 21. “The Salvation Army has generously offered to host the auction at their Fergus Falls headquarters site. 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated directly to those storm victims with the greatest need.”

Cash donations or checks made payable to the Salvation Army are encouraged along with donated items, all of which can be mailed or dropped off at Century 21 Vista, 405 W Lincoln, Fergus Falls MN 56537.

“It is our greatest hope that all organizations such as churches, schools, fraternal organizations and businesses as well as individuals get involved,” said Olson. “As the holidays approach, it is the perfect time to give back and give thanks.”

Those with donations are asked to call the Century 21 Vista office at 218-739-3281 or email
