On April 12, 1959, she married John Hought at Foxhome Lutheran Church. They made their home in Andrea Township, rural Foxhome, where they farmed and raised their family.
Wanda was a member of the Homemaker’s Club, the Red Hat Society, and the Farm Wife Organization. She taught “Ag in the Classroom” at many schools around the area.
She was a member of Foxhome Lutheran Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, reading, and was a sports fan following professional teams. Spending time with family and friends always brought her special joy. She was an avid fan of her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was also blessed to be a part of a mission trip to Haiti.
