Paul Woessner, 67, a life-long resident of Elbow Lake
Published 10:09am Friday, November 16, 2012 Updated 12:15pm Friday, November 16, 2012Paul Woessner, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Paul was born Sept. 9, 1945, in Fergus Falls, to Ervin and Ruth (Wagner) Woessner. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Elbow Lake and graduated from Elbow Lake High School in 1963. Paul continued his education at Hanson Trade School in Moorhead.
On Dec. 4, 1971, Paul was married to Marlene Johnson in Las Vegas, Nev.
Paul farmed and started working on tractors at Aamot and Ellingson Equipment and eventually founded Elbow Lake Equipment.
People came from all over to Paul’s shop for advice on how to fix tractors. He retired from Cenex in September 2011.
Paul loved to travel, driving tour bus with Marlene at his side. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and teaching the grandkids how to drive the golf cart on the farm.
He also took great pride in restoring tractors and attending tractor shows and participating in tractor cades.
Survivors include his wife Marlene; children, Missy (Wayne) Munson of Bismarck, N.D., Patrick (Jodi) Woessner of St. Louis, Mo., and Mike (Susan) Woessner of Elbow Lake; grandchildren, Dustin (fiancée Darcy Steckler) Munson, Kosha Munson, Andrew (fiancée Jess Jacob) Munson, David Munson, Ethan and Clair Woessner, and Grace and Lindsey Woessner; and one great-grandchild, Elliot Munson; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dee and Clayton Hanson; a niece and nephew; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, one aunt and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Ruth Woessner.
Memorials are preferred to the Christ Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
Visitation: Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 1:30 pm Saturday, at Christ Lutheran Church, Elbow Lake,
