A benefit will be held for Ruby Marie Bonn at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Eagles Club in Aberdeen, S.D.
Ruby was born Aug. 25, 2012 to Clark and Melissa (Slaba) Bonn of Pierre, S.D. (formally of Aberdeen). Ruby was born one month early. At Ruby’s two week checkup on Sept. 7 the doctor was concerned with her rapid breathing. After a chest xray, the radiologist discovered Ruby’s hear was enlarged due to congestive heart failure. An echocardiogram discovered Ruby had a coarctation, or narrowing, of the aorta and a bicuspid heart valve. She had surgery and is recovering.
The benefit will consist of bake sale, silent auction, general and live raffles all taking place throughout the night ana bean bag tournament with prizes. Concessions will also be available through out the night with: Soup, homemade chili, barbecues, hot-dogs and nachos.
A fund has been set up at Dacotah Bank for cash donations.
