2 dogs shot, killed near Dalton

Two dogs were found shot and killed in a ditch on Highway 26 (Otter Tail/Grant County line) just east of U.S. Highway 59 Tuesday.

The dogs got lose Monday, and the owners found their dead pets about a mile away from their residence at around 3:30 p.m.

The dogs were wearing collars and identification tags.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office has no suspects at this time.
