Fergus Falls City Council thanks Arneson for service [UPDATED]

Assistant fire chief Tom Arneson was congratulated for 40 years of service to the Fergus Falls Fire Department at the City Council meeting Monday.

Arneson served with 172 different firefighters, responded to more than 4,000 fires and attended about 800 drills, and he will serve his last day Wednesday.

After presenting Arneson with a certificate, mayor Hal Leland said, “I think you have set the standard for service and longevity. I wish you very well.”
