A Wahpeton man was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital early this morning after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed about 20 miles west of Wahpeton.

David Gary Manning, 50, was driving north on 163rd Avenue at about 65 miles per hour when his 2004 Hyundai fishtailed and slid into the west ditch where it rolled and came to rest on its passenger’s side.

Manning was removed from the vehicle by the Wyndmere Fire Department and taken to St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Wyndmere Ambulance, Breckenridge Ambulance, Wyndmere Fire Department and the Barney Fire Department responded to the scene.
