Luverne May Danielson, 91, of Fergus Falls

Luverns Danielson, died Tuesday at the Hospitality House in rural Fergus Falls.

She was born on March 31, 1921 to parents Edwin and Lydia (Quindlog) Danielson in Fergus Falls. May grew up and attended school at District 96 in Carlisle Township. After her schooling, she went to Minneapolis during the WWII years where she worked for Honeywell and American Linen.

After May retired in 1983, she moved to California to be closer to family. In the early 1990’s she moved back to Minneapolis. In 2000 May moved to Fergus Falls where she has remained since.

May enjoyed dancing, especially ball room dancing, walking, swimming, reading and snowmobiling. She enjoyed traveling and traveled extensively, setting foot on all continents of the world, but Antarctica. She particularly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

May is survived locally by her niece Peggy (Arlo) Huelsman of Foxhome; great nephew Scott Lankow of Foxhome; and a great niece, Nancy (Al) Vetter of Wahpeton, N.D. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Calif., Washington, and N.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Chester, Morris and Irving; and two sisters: Marjorie Norgard and Bernice Sharp.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospitality House where May received excellent, loving care.

Funeral Service: Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls.

Visitation: One hour prior the service at the church

Interment: Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Fergus Falls
