Kenwood Allan Larson, 70, of Fergus Falls

He was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Fergus Falls, the son of Kenneth Robert and Anna Marie (Carlson) Larson. He grew up in Fergus Falls where he attended school at Jefferson and Lincoln Elementary Schools, and Fergus Falls High School, graduating in 1960.
He also attended Fergus Falls Junior College.
He served with the Army National Guard from 1960 to 1964, receiving the Marksman Badge.
On May 16, 1964, he married Judy Finseth in Underwood. They were divorced in 1979.
Kenwood started working with his dad at the age of 16 as a wholesale distributor with Kenny’s Novelty Company, and then became independent as Ken’s Novelty Company throughout the remainder of his working years.
His genuine, heartfelt faith in the Lord, fellowship at the Maplewood Church, and various AA programs carried him through his on-going recovery.
In his earlier years, he was an award-winning archer and Golden Gloves boxer, and an aspiring pilot.
For most of his life he was a passionate fisherman and hunter.
He also enjoyed gardening, wood carving, writing poetry and reading. He was a gifted and creative artist.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Ann, in 1969; his son, Kraig in 1992, and a brother, Steven, in 1995.
Survivors include his father Kenneth, and step-mother, Arlene Larson of Battle Lake; his children, Rhonda Larson of Portland, Ore., Stephanie Cahill of Sauk Rapids, and Lonna (Eric) Severson of West Linn, Ore.; sisters, Helen Hauge of Tustin, Calif., JoAnn Larson of Battle Lake, and Stacy Larson of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Alexandria Neiswender of Albuquerque, N.M., Kaden Cahill of Sauk Rapids, and Patrick Lindgren of Thief River Falls; nephews, Lance and Reed Hauge, Zac and Matt Larson; and niece, Sequoia Ann Larson.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at the funeral Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, at Maplewood Lutheran Church, rural Erhard
