NEW YORK MILLS — The Rothsay Tiger girls put up a fight in their season opener but saw a tough New York Mills team hold them off for a 46-32 win.
Ashley Maack led the Tigers with 10 points, while teammates Caitlin Simmer and Alexis Craig each had eight boards.
The Tigers will look for a better outcome Thursday as they welcome Waubun for their home opener at 7:30 p.m.
