Roundabouts would reduce accidents [UPDATED]

How many more accidents like the one Monday at the new Tower Road —Lincoln Avenue intersection does it take to realize the benefits of a roundabout?

Ambulance rides, medical and hospital costs, human injuries, and wrecked autos, can be prevented with the superior design of a roundabout intersection.

Throw in better fuel economy and one wonders why designers of our new intersections are so resistant to change.
