Spartan men fall in OT thriller 91-86

The M-State Fergus Falls Spartans dropped a close game this Tuesday night to the Concordia Cobbers of Moorhead by a score of 91-86.Spartan Will Marlow had a nice drive to the basket and found Luke Halbakken on a nice pass to tie the game with just under eight seconds to go and tie the game. M-State lead the entire game up until there was only two minutes to go in the second half when the Cobbers finally tied the game on a nice three pointer by Brett Bergeson.

The Spartans lost the game in overtime16-11 Halbakken led the Spartans with 20 points and 11 rebounds, joining him in the double- double club was Shane Bosek who had 18 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort.

Issac Anderson paced the Cobbers with 29 points and 23 rebounds to go along with it, Brett Bergeson chipped in 17 sinking five three pointers on the night.

The Spartans will take their 3-2 record on the road to Ely this Friday night to take on Vermillion Community and Technical college, the game is scheduled for 8 p.m.
