Dance and Dessert is back for its 18th year. The performances will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2 at A Center for the Arts, 124 W. Lincoln Ave., downtown Fergus Falls in the Fergus Theatre. The performances are followed by a dessert reception across the street at the Senior Citizen’s Center. Tickets are on sale now and cost $15 for adults and $5 for students and children.

Reserve your tickets early because this show usually sells out. For more information about the show, call AC4TA at 218-998-ARTS (2787) or visit www.FergusArts.org.

Dance and Dessert is an annual fundraiser for A Center for the Arts. The event is co-sponsored by A Center for the Arts and Fergus Falls School of Dance. The profits from these performances help bring professional dance companies to Fergus Falls each year for a public performance and dance master classes.

This year’s show includes: a selection from the musical “Hairspray,” a rousing version of Ballroom Blitz, several lovely ballet pieces, and an ice fishing dance featuring some dancing “Dads.”

In addition, 12 high school boys will be joining the older dancers to celebrate a “White Christmas.” Joining the main cast will be several FFSD dance classes, including the kindergarten dance students of Valerie Sohl, and the Tap 1A, Jazz 1B, and Jazz 3 classes taught by Kirsten Danielson, Mary Pettit, and Shannon Denzel, respectively.
