Ashby Santa Day Saturday [UPDATED]

Horse-drawn sleigh rides will be a feature of Ashby Santa Day from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, as well as an appearance by jolly ol’ St. Nick.

Santa will greet children between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Ruby’s Restaurant. There will also be a free barbeque lunch at Ashby Senior Center 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a craft sale at the Legion from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Ashby Sports Boosters have organized a tour of homes decorated for the holidays. Tickets are available on Saturday at Walton Law Office of the home of Chad and Kathy VanSanten.

Residents in and around Ashby are also encouraged to participate in the holiday residential lighting contest. Residents can register their own home or nominate another home by calling city hall at 218-747-2876.
