An increase in pupils resulting in more state aid, plus budget restrictions, led to an 11.5 increase in net assets for the Perham-Dent school district. The surplus was part of an audit report for the 2012 school year, presented to the school board last week by Brady Martz Certified Public
Total revenues exceeded total expenses by $1 million over last year.
According to school district business manager Kristi Werner, the school is in good financial shape because the school board and administration have been very vigilant about making budget reductions so that the school is not in deficit spending.
