Beverly Toso, 73, of Fergus Falls

Beverly Toso, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, surrounded by family at PioneerCare Center.

Beverly Ann Toso was born on June 23, 1939, the daughter of Arnold and Ethel (Kjono) Muth in Fergus Falls. She was the oldest of two.

Bev was baptized at Our Saviors Church in Rothsay and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She lived in Western Township on a farm and moved into Fergus Falls in 1946.

She attended school in Fergus Falls graduating in 1957, and continued her education earning a Teachers Training Certificate in 1958.

On April 9, 1960, she married Virgil Toso at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

Over the years they were blessed with one daughter and two sons and more than 52 years of marriage. They lived in Fergus Falls. Bev enjoyed working outside the home.

During her lifetime she taught rural school, worked at the Fergus Falls Public Schools, Children’s Corner Daycare, The Fergus Falls Daily Journal and the American Greeting Company.

Bev was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church.

Her life revolved around her family.

She enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and was a fantastic cheerleader who missed very few events.

She was very talented at crafts and at decorating her home. She enjoyed being outside working on her flowers and yard.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Virgil; one daughter, Cindy (Patrick) Johnson of Fargo; two sons, Marc (Darla) Toso of Fergus Falls and Scott Toso of Moorhead; one brother, Dwight (Cindi) Muth of Emmons; and five grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Erin (Jared) Loucks, Kacie Johnson, Derek Toso and Cody Toso.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Ethel Muth; her grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins; and twin grandsons, Dustin and Jason Toso.

Visitation: Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, and one hour prior at the church Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Hope Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls
