Peeper may have been looking for a smoke [UPDATED]

A woman called police after allegedly observing a neighbor peeking in her window at the 600 block of Linden Street Monday morning.

The woman confronted her neighbor about the issue, but he denied the peeping, saying he was just looking in her ash tray for cigarette butts.

Police instructed the man to stay off his neighbor’s property and told him he could be arrested for trespassing if he is found snooping around again.

  1. Richard Olson

Does she keep her ash tray on her window sill?

  2. Camilla Ryan

Was he looking in the window to find butts he could take and consume himself? Or spying to find evidence that she smokes and her smoke drifts into his breathing space and offends him, causes medical problems? Possibly looking for an opportunity to grab a settlement in a law suit? Notwithstanding the reason, it constitutes trespassing, and if he wanders into her property again he is unlikely to get away with a questionable excuse.
