On Oct. 12, 1944, Rita and Donald Politiski were married at St. Mary’s Church in Breckenridge, with Rather Petermeier officiating.
They lived in Doran their entire married life, where Don managed the Kent-Doran Grain Company elevator.
Together they raised three children —Tom, Pam and Jane.
Rita was a housewife and mom of the 50s and 60s. After Don died in 1975, Rita made her home on Otter Tail Lake, in a home Tom built especially for her.
There she enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels, being a Twins fan, and being with her kids. She will always be remembered as a good wife and mother.
In 2009, Rita moved to the Perham Living Home. She received excellent care and her family will be forever grateful to her caregivers.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; and two brothers, Melvin and Cyril.
She is survived by her loving children, Thomas, Pamela and Jane; along with a brother, Allen, and a sister-in-law, Helen (Jack) Peterson; and 10 nieces and nephews.
