M State concert features songs of Mannheim Steamroller [UPDATED]

A holiday tradition continues at Minnesota State Community and Technical College with the winter Band Concert featuring the music of Mannheim Steamroller.

Concerts are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7 and 8, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in Waage Theatre on M State’s Fergus Falls campus. Performing will be the M State Community Concert Band, directed by M State Director of Bands Dan Carlson.

This is the Concert Band’s 4th annual Mannheim Steamroller event and features a new repertoire of music.

Community members, local high school students and M State musicians combine to perform music featured by Mannheim Steamroller, with selections including “Joy the World,” “The Holly and the Ivy,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.”

Ticket prices are $9 in advance and $11 at the door for adults and $7 in advance or $8 at the door for students.
